Relationships Are Hard, But Why?
Stan Tatkin at TEDx
Relationships are hard. But what if it's not you or them or sex, money or even who picks up the socks. What if there is a far more primitive reason?
In this talk, relationship expert Stan Tatkin explores why we fight from the perspective of neuroscience – and how to give your relationship a fighting chance.
What is PACT?
Stan Tatkin, PsyD, LMFT, and Tracey Boldemann-Tatkin, PhD, AMFT, founded The PACT Institute to train couples in Stan’s neuroscience-based method of couple therapy.
Developed by Stan, a Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy® (PACT for short) is a polytheoretical integration of attachment theory, developmental neuroscience, arousal regulation, and other methods.
PACT has a reputation for effectively treating the most challenging couples. For over 20 years, thousands of couple therapists have been trained in PACT methodology, bringing secure functioning to tens of thousands of couples.
PACT teaches and promotes secure-functioning principles and skills in every corner of the world and to individuals and families in addition to couples. PACT is constantly advancing the field of couple therapy into the scientific and cultural vanguard and increasing therapists' fund of knowledge.
The PACT Institute provides trainings, workshops, continuing education, and community plus an active directory of PACT therapists and archive of print and recorded resources for certified therapists and students.
